Looking for del.icio.us Tutorials

I’m putting together a “Teaching with Web 2.0″ talk and cookbook and I’m looking for tutorials on how to use del.icio.us–preferably something basic that can walk technology-timid faculty through the steps of setting up an account, installing the bookmarklet, tagging pages, finding pages tagged by other people, etc. Anybody know of anything like that? The help pages on del.icio.us itself are OK, but I’m looking for something more like a set of tutorials.

  1. Hi there,

On sociallearning.ca (http://sociallearning.ca, a recently launched website), there are a variety of resources…

What you may find useful is a short screencast put together by Brian Lamb on the basics of del.icio.us:

Another one he did is located at:

    Hope those help!

    Michael,

I made this tutorial on using del.icio.us for learning for our learning 2.0 bootcamp:

I don’t think this is quite what you’re looking for, but this white paper from EduCause is a great supplement to a del.icio.us tutorial:

Title is “Everything You Need to Know About Social Bookmarking”, and it gives an excellent overall argument for the use of social bookmarking sites in education.

    Hello Michael,

This general introduction to del.icio.us is from 2004 but still very us.ef.ul:

Btw, it has been bookmarked by more than 3400 people on del.icio.us, which is quite a recommendation. If you have a del.icio.us account search for tags delicious+tutorial and you will find further info.

My coleagues above have covered many that are in my short list of references. One I might add as a demo for “how it works” is Jon Udell’s Screen cast:

  6. Wow! A cornucopia. Thanks all. I hope that you will consider tagging these and other favorite Teaching with Web 2.0 resources on del.icio.us using the tww2.0 tag.
