My New Blog About Politics

Lately I’ve been feeling the need to speak out more on political issues that are important to me. I won’t do that on e-Literate because I’ve always cultivated this as a professional space about my chosen profession and I don’t want to break my covenant with my readers. I have thought about starting a second, more personal blog at the mfeldstein.com domain. And I may yet do that. But for the moment I have decided instead to create a blog at my.barackobama.com. In addition to allowing me to support the candidate of my choice, it provides me with an interesting experiment in a number of ways:

  • I can see what it’s like to have a special-purpose time-bounded blog. (Obviously, it’ll end roughly on November 5th 2008, if not sooner.)
  • I can see how my blogging “voice” changes when I’m writing a political blog under somebody else’s banner.
  • I can test out the social aspects of Obama’s political/social software platform.

So, if you’re interested, you can find my Obama blog here.
