So, I’ve been keeping an eye lately on Alfresco, a cool FOSS JSR-168-compliant content management system being developed by one of the co-founders of Documentum. There’s a lot to like here–good handling of both documents and web content, flexible application of workflows and other aspects, drag-and-drop file management, including filtering/converting of documents–and all under an LGPL license. I’ve been somewhat puzzled by the utter lack of buzz around the project, though.
Well, no more. KMWorld has just recognized Alfresco as a “trend-setter.”

For me, the “recognised Alfresco” hyperlink takes me to a page which merely reports “Cannot find news”.

According to this page at Alfresco’s site they’re moving to the MPL.
